Down on the Downer!

Hey Hilary
I have had some changes...............body fat percentage has dropped slightly, weight has dropped and so has centimetres. I guess I am wanting a little more than what has actually dropped. I am not expecting miracles, just some more noticeable changes.

I am getting over my little blue stage............I will say though I didn't stray from my eating at all. I skipped gym today as feeling very sore and a little blue. I guess one day wont hurt me. Trying to get me mind in the right set again.

would like so much like to have a fairy godmother to say its all okay. I luv the network of people who genuinely care about you, and drop by to say hi and talk to you. Thanks Hilary, I now know why you make a great coach.

Onward and forward, they say....................perserverance!!! positivity!!! practise!!!!!

ciao!

downer blues!!!

I am reading more and more inspirational stories and it is actually getting me down. I know I work so hard and have been so rigid with my diet, but I don't get the results that others are getting. I keep asking myself what am I doing wrong?

What a downer!! Here I am reading these stories to motivate me but it is actually doing the opposite?

Uh-oh - Motivation Blues!!!

Well I don't know if it was the humidity or just the blues, but i was not motivated this weekend, infact it was the worse weekend so far in the run. I just didn't feel like doing anything, but when I did get moving it was good. I really cleaned the house on Saturday, and on Sunday mulched my gardens with the large sugar can mulch roll.

i actually felt out of sorts for some reason or another, don't know what is wrong and am feeling out of sorts right now. Maybe I had too many exciting weekends recently, that I am feeling a bit of a let down????

Kicked myself in the butt this morning, did another session with J' on back and bi's. I can not believe how fatiqued I get on my biceps by the time we get to them towards the end of the session, but as J says, lifting pretty heavy on back will always pre-fatique the bis quickly.

i have that horrible feeling at the moment, you know the one where you think nothing is working and why aren't results happening faster with all the careful planning with eating and meal measurements and all the exercise you do during the week!!! i will have to go read some inspiring stories again. Catch you later!!

Inspiration for the week

This is a new mini task/motivational piece I am adding to my blog. The list of inspirations for the week.
1. This picture of Telia Raciti - truly inspirational!!! How I would like to have her muscles!!!! amazing pictures like this make the competitors appear more larger than they are, being invovled with a few people who have competed. One day I would love to meet Telia.
2. A friend of mine - Traci Gerbanas. We boxed together this week for Group Cardio PT, which we haven't done for a long time. We appear evenly matched in the strength stakes and also share the same trainer. Now Traci has decided to make it a competition on who can lift the heaviest..................... Getting back to how she inspires me. This little lady is a dynamite in everything she does and I only hope to acheive the level of fitness she is at. Not only that, she is a genuinely nice person. I enjoy socialising with her.

2nd Round

Hey bloggers
back already...........I missed blogging this week. I have been busy at work and training. Had a another massive back and bi with J on Monday morning, actually quite sore and tight there still tonite, felt it n balance tonite. I did some walk/sprints yesterday morning and it killed my legs towards the end. 40 mins of walking at 6km/hr for a min and arpinting at 12km/hr for 30 seconds. Kept that patern up for 40mins. Will try to make it 45mins next week. Ow!!!!!!!!

Did balance tonite, feel nice and relaxed. I am doing legs in the morning.

I have 43 weeks to go for my long goal!!! So far I have been very good and kept true for the last 8 weeks and this week has been great too. I hope I stay motivated. I have been finding it easy at the moment. Some days I am hungry and some days I don't want to eat.

Well time to go to bed! Catch you tomorro!

Too Busy!!!!

Too Busy for anything except training...........will never be too busy for that! Phew what a week already. From last Thursday, everything is just a blur!

Had a wedding on Sunday, made some very good choices, in fact the only fault is that I did not eat enuf!!! Oh well, thats not a huge drama.

I can't beleive I am at the pointy end of week nine. Did measurements beginning of this week, lost some cm's, lost some body fat and lost some weight...................not a lot but still it is a loss. i am still enjoying what I am doing and decided not to set myself some small goals, as I will lose sight of that big goal i have in place......... At this point I am still motivated.

I think with the motivation, it helps to read other people's blog and their stories and trials and errors. I am hoping that my body has finally resolved to the fact it has to lose weight and size!!!! I have broken up my 6 meals into more mini meals so I almost eat 10 times a day, which i am hoping that will keep my metabolism fired up and active!

I am keeping this short and sweet, will blog tomorro, when I have more time.

ciao!

Planning Ahead

Well I have already planned ahead for the next 12 week program and I haven't finished this one. i still have 4 weeks to go. Nothing like making sure I keep up the good work so far. I will say I am slightly disappointed with the lack of results (that I can see) but it is not the end. My work pants are getting looser and I am sure I will have a great next four weeks! here's to seeing a good result in the last leg of the first 12 week journey.

Balance tonite, this should help my legs and butt! They still hurt so much. Amazing - here I was thinking we didn't really do a heavy session, just a killer session, but man are my quads, hammis and glutes feeling it for the last 2 days! Struggle on the stairs!!

Hump Day

My Butt! i can feel my butt even when I sit! We did another killer leg workout yesterday then I topped it with an hour of boxing that was the another boxing session from hell boot camp i am sure. Not only did we do more upper body workouts, our lower half was killed. Towards the end of the hour, after we have done sprints and squats, we had to do these step ups for about 6-8 mins, my legs were like jelly already from the weights session. When I went into spinning after boxing it took my legs a good 10 mins to get into a rhythym!! At first I just didn't seem to have the energy for spinning, but about 10mins in I got going and really put some intensity into my workout. Consequently, getting out of bed this morning at 4.30am, my butt is say 'Noooo!!!!!'. Topped it off with an hour of cardio of power walking this morning on tready alternating between 3% incline to 15% and interval elliptical trainer. Sitting here at work, my butt is still complaining immensely.

I like your saying Carolyn, waiting to come out of the cocoon that I am in!!!! yes somewhere deep inside the feather doona cover, is the muscles I would like to see!

must go!

Week 8

Wow! I went 4 whole days without blogging!!! Withdrawals plus! Where do I start. Thursday night had a shitty fight with husband and ate some hot chips, feeling even shittier! Over it and back on track next day. Had Friday off work, had to bake some cakes for monther-in-laws 90th. Saturday went well, made 3 superb cakes and only had the tiniest of tiniest pieces of one. Did a massive back and bi workout on friday, seeing as I missed it on Monday due to car accident. Car now in at doctors getting fixed and having a little touch up job while in there. Should come out shiny and new.
Now for my best day, I spent yesterday at the IFBB/ANB Qld Championships, watching quite a few friends compete. Not only did every single one place, one of the guys came first, he is so pleased with himself and so he should be. I got to touch and have a photo taken with Mr Olympia, Jay Cuttler. Man what a Unit!!!! His bicep is as big as my head!!! I came away from the comp meet all motivated and hyped, ready to conqueor all my goals!
I backed up my massive workout from Friday with doing back and bi's again this morning and even worked harder, sweat was literally dripping off my nose at 6.30am this morning, and it wasn't that hot. My forearms were so pumped, they felt rock hard. Underneath this feather doona cover, is a ball of muscle!!!! Can not wait to see them.

Looking forward to an exhausting week of cardio and weights!!!

Sore Today!

Don't know why but very sore today all over................I am thinking it must have been the awesome boxing session (group PT cardio session) we did on Tuesday!!!! Chris did something different and by the end of 60 mins there were 10 of us, just wanting to sit down and die!!!!! Then to back it up with a 45 min physco spinning class, hit the wall 30mins in, had to tell myself that there was only 2 songs left. (but bloody long songs)

Even the 30 mins of legs I got in this morning (mind you really packed in with the amount of exercises I did), 20 min intensity walk after it, alternating between 6km/hr and 7km/hr every min, my legs right now feel like jelly!!!!

Got the day off tomorro, so doing back, bi's and shoulders with J tomorro, that should be interesting!!! i am thinking i am looking forward to a weekend off. In saying that it is going to be a very hectic weekend. I have my mother-in-laws 90th to attend (to which I am making all the cakes) and the Body Building show to go to on Sunday, there are more of my friends competing for the first time and some competing again. One of them has been coached by Jo Rogers and the other by Donna Anderson, so should be interesting in seeing the 2 different styles.

Thanks Hilary, yes I am okay, there was no damage to me and it all happened so surreal. The guy tried to tell my husband that it was all my fault, but as David replied,, doesn't matter, you still hit her turning right and you hit her car after the front wheel!!!! You are in the wrong. Regardless of that, my car is insured for full comprehensive so it is still covered! But we found out market value is between $5k and $7.5k but to replace it there is nothing in Brisbane under $12,000.00 That sucks if they write it off, I only get half the money!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still feeling a little sad about my car, it was so cute!!

Well must do some work!

Week 7 beginnings

Hey bloggers, hope you all had a good weekend like I did.

Saturday started well with a hard power walk then off to the INBA QLD Titles. There were a lot of novices and some with amazing results!!!! one of my friends that I mentioned last week got second in Novice Physique and she is off to the Australian Titles, with a little more leaning down, she might even place. Nice muscle tone in her back, hopefully she doesn't lean out too much, don't want her to lose that mass she has.

The other friend place first in her division 'physique' and also placed first overall 'physique'. Well done Helen. I know Helen is vying to be off for the 'Worlds'. But cash is the issue there. Hopefully she will pick up a sponsor. Her symmetary was awesome.

yet amazingly some that i picked to place didn't even make it and was beaten by another with no mass on her back, yet she was definately leaned out. Well done to all who competed, they are truly amazing people. There was one totally aweinspiring novice who competed on the weekend. her story was that a year and half ago she weighed 110kg, but she was amazing on stage. Now she deserves major recognition for her results.

Looking forward to next Sunday as I have a few more friends competing then.

Sunday was a fun day, went to friends for Bathurst (men sitting and drinking all day), I sat around the pool (but forgot my togs) and nattered with some friends. Ended up in the pool at night anyway, but what was good, I fought off the guys who tried to pull me in and he just couldn't do and he said he was amazed at the strenght and power i had to stop him from pulling me in. it actually took 3 guys to push me in and i took 2 of them with me. Ha!

But this morning had a horror start!!!! Was on my way to gym to meet trainer for a nice back & bi session, really looking forward to it, when a car hit me and wrote me off! Waiting on accessor to see if car is written off or not! So no car at moment! Not a good start to week, and now not hungry, feeling very blue and sad as I love my little red Madza MX5. Will keep you posted. Better go back to work.

Ciao!

Hey bloggers

It is early Saturday morning, just finished breaky and now on my way to meet friend and go on a powerwalk.

Thanks Carolyn, I am glad I am not the only one who suffers from impatience. I was actually very blue yesterday (again) as I jumped on that stupid little box with springs in it and it read a number that was increased (considerably) from last week, all the while sticking to plan like glue and added extra cardio!!!! Clothes are getting looser!!!! check! Scales are showing lighter! uncheck! But it is only week 6! check! Confused! check! Oh well there beaten myself up again!

Moving on!!!!

Busy weekends the next three weekends..................INBA today, Bathurst tomorrow, mother-in-laws 90th next saturday, another body building show next sunday, wedding following sunday................................all that temptation! No this is a challenge that has been laid before me. I have already packed my food for today, will cook my food for tomorrow tonite!. Next saturday, having restaurant catering for my needs for saturday lunch.

well ciao! Have a great weekend.

Past Hump Day

Hey bloggers

We are on our way to the end of week! Yah.

Grunt-bum is starting to pick up, so hopefully all good. Friend of ours is a dog breeder and he says Grunt has symptoms of being poisoned. Be it by a bite of sorts or something he ate. Hilary, he as picked up some more since talking to you this morning. yah! would miss the lazy little bugger!

Picking up on cardio today for what I missed out on yesterday. Food has been very clean and straight to plan. No mucking about. I am impressed, it has been almost 6 weeks and I have not really strayed, you know what you would really call a stray. This is a good thing, though I am not seeing a lot of results yet!!!! There is that impatient person coming out again. I keep telling myself it is not the instant result you need to see but the life style change.

Going to INBA Saturday to cheer a couple of girls who are competing that I know. Three are novices and one is competing for the second year. I admire these competitors and all competitors as their dedication is simply awesome. I am hoping by the time I finish my long term goal (47 weeks to go) that I can maybe look at competing...................We will see.

Ciao!

Matchstick eyes!

Well the week was off to a good start with exercise and eating. Til last night.

Our poor puppy (12 years old staffy) 'Grunt', is obviously getting old and we know has cancer lumps all over him. But up until now, hasn't shown any signs of problems. Weellll last night about 2.15am I thought i was dreaming and could smell my dog's fart, (to which he can throw some beauties) only to actually wake up to the smell. it was so bad, I was dry retching!!!. Grunt was walking around the house, so I thought he wanted to go out, which he did, but he never came back inside. after about 1/2 hour, I went outside to call him and he cam skulking around the corner..............then I knew he had done something wrong! Walk back inside and the smell was so bad, it was everywhere. Turned on all the lights and he had release his bowels!!!!!OMG it was the worst thing.................consequently did not get to go gym this morning as waking up was a little hard to do, when you haven't been asleep since 2.30am. I had to get hubby to clean up as I was dry retching so badly. Amazing when my son was a baby I never had a problem but with anything or anyone else, i can't handle it!!!
Thinking I am going to have to replace the carpet in the spare room.

Week 6 beginnings

Hey bloggers!

go the CATS! Geelong, my birthplace. I remember I was sent for my first year of high school down to geelong with my Grandmother because my racist father did not want me to go to school at Walgett with the indigenious people. (Came back worse than my friends who stayed, on the wild side a bit) and going to watch the Cats at play!

Any way had a very quite weekend, did not do much. Discovered a new butcher from a friend of mine and went crazy buying up for my freezer and fridge. Wow if you had seen the quality of this meat, it was impressive. How anal that you can get excited about meat! I had crocodile for the first time - crocodile sausages! Yum, they taste just like chicken! Meat was a little dearer, but worth it I think for the quality.

Enuf about meat!

Talk about a small world. I had been wondering all week last week, whether Hilary goes to my gym, finally I had the gumption to ask her and she does. Amazingly, we have passed each other for 2 years and always said a polite little hello or smile, an here we are, me admiring her totally inspiring her story and read her blog site.

So off to a good start this week with training. Did back and bi's again with the 'J'. Again I had a hard time driving to work. My forearms was so pumped, they were cramping!

Talk to you all soon bloggers!
