Fast Tuesday!

What a day! It seemed to be over as soon as it started!

Had an awesome afternoon training with weights, boxing and spinning!!! Nice! My biceps are sore from yesterday morning. In boxing today we did Skipping, I hate skipping but it burns a load of calories, so I keep thinking this is so very good, this is so very good, this is so very good! Only to convince myself to keep skipping.

Hey Hiliary, I know that it is a lot but I guess I just expected a bigger amount. In saying that, it is a positive step in the right direction. The next challenge to get through xmas with no hiccups. I have two weeks off over xmas so I can spend much longer at the gym and go for walks during the day at home in the state forest.

Must go, battery on the laptop is going so I better sign off before it hibernates.

Have a good rest of the week and talk to you all soon.

Ciao!

Its week 13 already!

Hey there eveyone! Did you all have a good weekend. I had a quiet one, abit of plant shopping at local markets, planting, cleaning house and washing clothes and I put up the Xmas tree.

I was measured and in 12 weeks I have only lost 38.5 cm, 3.5kg and about 12% body fat. But slowly does it.................I know I am here for a long time.

Not much else to really complain about. I really had a painful week from training last week, my legs were so sore for alonger period than normal.

It was Jason's birthday today (my trainer) andI gave him a hat - it was an orange camo peak cap with the words 'House of Pain' embroidered on the top, as I am always complaining about him always taking me to the house of pain when we train biceps. Well I am off to bed, well get my clothes ready for tomorro - getting up at 4.30am to go to gym. By the time I do a load of dishes and get my stuff together, it is time to go to bed.

Ciao!

Long Tuesday!

Hey Bloggers

Feeling good today! Slept in an extra 2 hours this morning as had a seminar to go to. Did a good light but heavy leg session! More reps, lesser weight ie only two thirds instead of total weight. Then backed it up with boxing again. Hit a wall towards the end of boxing, didn't seem to be too hard of a session, but obviously it was as I was not the only one who suffered by the end. Then went and did 45mins spinning class. Was going to do abs when I got home and cooked tea, but instead I am sitting on the couch watching 'Dancing with the Stars' and talking on my blog!!.

Energy is zapped! Totally.

Feeling pretty good, just zapped! Was diligent with eating the last two days, trying to make up for the weekend. Thanks Hilary, trying hard not to feel guilty on the weekend antics with food and alcohol, but it was very nice to just let go and not really have too much bad things.

Well must go, Disco is on now with 'Dancing with the Stars'......Darryl looks......well um!

Week 12

Oh boy! I blew it big time on the weekend!!! i think I drunk 2 whole bottles of red wine on Saturday.

After Wednesday, did not feel well all week, had bad gas pains and stomach bloated so much it really hurt.............don't know what was going on there, actually it only came good last night!!! Don't know if it was the fish I only had mouthful from or something else, whatever it was it affected me the rest of the week.

Went to Noosa for a wedding on Saturday and stayed at the resort that the wedding was at. Started Saturday morning well with designated foods then obviously left my determination at home...............did not eat bad, but did not eat to plan either. Had the nicest piece of grilled baramundi with a small greek salad, then finished off David's chips (small hand full), and a nicely chilled glass of white. Raced off to the wedding at the church, then had 4 hours to kill between wedding and reception...........obvious answer, go sit at wine bar on Noosa River!!! A given! Tried the Stoneleigh Pinot Noir - too sweet ....backed it up with a nice glass of merlot, more like it! Did not eat until 7.30pm, entree was 6 steamed prawns in chilli with avocado mash or pork roll stuffed with asparagus, both dishes looked so nice, David and I split it in half............so setting the precedent, every other couple at our table did the exact same thing. The wine and beer was never ending, I will admit I did partake in a few (too many) glasses of the cabernet merlot on offer. Main course was a drop down plate of either Angus Beef Fillet Mignon, on Blue Cheese mash and beetroot and wine coulis or Skinless Organic Chicken thigh with chat potatoes in a capsicum and tomato salsa - again we went halves. Dinner and entree was spreadout nicely that you would feel full, but by the time the next course came you could fit more in. I even had a slice of wedding cake, the skinnest slither of caramel mudcake!!!!!! I am amazed they could slice it so finely. SSOooooo! by midnight, I had my fill of food and alcohol - wine just starting to repeat, a sign that is enough! Sunday morning topped it off with a 'Californian Omelette' from a cafe on Hasting Street, hangover food!!!! Only fault is it had cheese and would not make it on egg white, you had to eat it as it comes...............Oh dear! Whoops! but what the heck, it was so yummy! Died Sunday afternoon, laid on couch, no energy, lack of sleep and hangover catching up! This is where i am supposed to say, I am never drinking again!!! NOT! I will just put it down to a bad week and pick up again from this morning onwards.

Great start to week 12 of 52 weeks............did a nice heavy session with J on back and bi's. My forearms again was so pumped, they just ached for an hour afterwards. Cardio this afternoon on my spinning bike at home finishing off with Abs! Looking forward to a very early night.............sleep, give me sleep!!!
must go, will catch up!

Mid week

Well it is Wednesday already!!!! Gosh time goes so fast these days.

Again another awesome training day yesterday, with chest and tris' for an hour, boxing following hour and a nice hard spinning class for 45 mins after that. You would think that I would fall into bed and just zonk out.............nooooooooo! For some unknown reason, i kept waking every hour on the hour.

Did 1 hour of cardio this morning, alternating on four different pieces of equipment for 15mins of high/low intensity.

All things going well, did not have the work lunch yesterday for Melbourne cup, had my own. But last night I had a piece of flake I bought from Coles monday night and I steamed it, put it on my plate, had a mouth full and it was off..............don't you just hate that. Lucky I had more fish in fridge that i bought from fisho on sunday.... now totally convinced never to buy seafood from supermarket ever again. That is the third time it has happened to me. Nothing worse.

Really need a massage, missed out last week as person was booked solid and this weekend Ihave to go to a wedding at Noosa. That is going to be nice as we are staying at the resort where to wedding is so I don't need to drive.

Well I will catch you later!

Ciao!

Memory Loss

I forgot my lunch! and everything else.....................In such a rush to get to gym this morning I forgot my little lunch bag. Had no food at all, all day. I only had at work almonds, which I nibbled on all day. There is not many shops around where I worked, just didn't get out at all. Best laid plans often never come through. Oh well, at least I don't need to pack lunch tomorro!

Thanks for the chat this morning Hilary, I still didn't get to ask you how you add the picture to the top of your blog.
Did back and bi's again this morning. My forearms were so pumped this morning, I had a hard time driving to work again. My hammi still hurts from Saturday, but not a good hurt. I think I really did stretch it too far. Biceps are starting to hurt already tonite.

Oh well will have to suggest to Chris to do chest and tris tomorro, giv the hammi extra time to recover. Then backing it up with boxing and cycle. Looking forward to boxing.

Thanks Carolyn, yes it was a great lift, as noted a pb for me without a spotter. How was your holiday................are you back to recover??

As far as Europe goes Hilary, I think I have a lot of homework to do, but talking to an Italian at work, he said that if you drive through the countryside and look for bed & breakfasts in small towns, it works out quite cheaply. I have decided on a run from Scotland. From Castle Stuart, we are driving down to London, under the chunnel into France. We will go to Germany to a place call 'Enzberg' where my father's family and say hi. Then from there drive through Austria and onto Italy. Meander down the countryside to the Mediteranean and then fly home. Well thats the start of the plan, now I have to price everything and get an idea of cost and time. We only have 2 weeks.

Well i am off to bed, have a very big day ahead tomorro, includin 3 hours at the gym in afternoon. have a great time bloggers.

End of Week summary

Hey bloggers

A much better day today. I had my first bad day on Friday!!! I started off great with a fantastic chest and tris workout, both still hurting now. Dumbbell flat bench pressed 27.5kg db with no spot for 3 sts of 10 reps. Whoa! a PB and to back it up with incline bench press with olympic bar (I think they weigh 20kg) with 15kg each side by 10 reps and that is after doing 10 with 5kg and 10 with 10kg each side. Interestingly though my chest is not as sore as it gets when I do slow deep flat flyes with 12.5kg dumbbells. My chest really cains after doing those. and my tris, did the usual and finished of with french presses with supasets press ups at the end of each set, so 10 reps doing french press to behind head, then supaset 10 press ups from below chest. I did these with the ezy bar which weighs 14kg and 7.5kg each side. 3 sets all up! Had a good breakfast, then did not eat till I got home......................5.45pm, so I skip all meals during the day, and only ate 20 almonds when I got, then went out with David and had Thai with red wine.

There is this fantastic Thai place just on the exit of highway at Yatala call the 'Thai River Kwai Restaurant'. It is the best Thai I have had here in Brisbane, and having been to Thailand to compare with some authentic dishes, this is pretty close. I had this restaurant's specialty fish dish called "Thai River Kwai Fish' . The only bad thing in it was the fish is cookked......well not crumbed and not battered but cooked with flour, but then it becomes amazing. They shred red onion, cucumber, green apple and crush some cashews. All mixed together on plate with a typical Thai sauce, clear. Yummi. All the flavours just explode in your mouth. I had two very small glasses of red wine with it, a shiraz, nice and light, not to take the effect of thai way from the meal.

I backed up legs yesterday morning, maybe I shouldn't have, as I did more bulgarian lunges and I think I have overstretched my hammis a bit.................a bit sore than normal....cardio was crap this week, but truly did not feel like much.

Next week is a new beginning, so we will start all over again. Eating wise the rest of the weekend has not been bad, but has not been totally to plan either!!!!

42 weeks to go on my long term goal. which will end when I go to scotland and europe for 2 weeks. i have a wedding I want to attend in July in scotland in a castle, & I thought I would take the opportunity to go to Europe for a week as well. We were thinking of doing like a driving backpackers adventure (my husband David) and I am going to nickname it my honeymoon as I never did get one when we were married 18 years ago! I have a lot of relatives in Germany, so we could go say hi, meet my grandmother for the first time, then maybe drive down to Greece via Italy and do B&B's on the way, so of backpacking but not roughing it too much. Don't know if it is going to cost a lot of money, will have to research it. I have eight months to save and get information together.

Well heres to a better week coming!!!

Just Another Day!

Hey bloggers

Just another day! Went to gym this morning did some nice shoulder workout for 30mins then cardio for 30mins - Elliptical Intensity training. Looking forward to Balance tonite to stretch theses very sore legs, butt, back and bis. Got chest and tris tomorro and catch up on cardio on weekend.

I might treat myself to a massage this weekend, though I keep telling myself that every week and just forget to book it in time. But in light to feeling depressed, this might be the pick I need.

A friend asked this morning how I am, and I couldn't really answer, and when prompted to discuss, I couldn't as I think i was on the verge of tears - anyway not the friends problem, its my head I need to sort out. Get over the stupid feelings I get and move on. I am assuming that this is hormonal of some sort, especially the way it hits me all of a sudden. Got back into my little book of inspiration and added a few more quotes and pictures and stories about successful people. Trying everything to re-motivate that excited feeling I had a few weeks ago.

Got my little red car back all shiny and new, but now I want to sell it, it just doesn't feel the same after you have been in an accident. I want something else now and it is time to update anyway..........don't know what I am going to replace it with. Taking on a bit of a project with my son, trying to get him to eat properly........here is another story.........my son has this genetically gifted body, and if he was to look after it properly, he would look absolutely fantastic. He is symetrically balanced in all his proportions, just needs to clean his diet up, more to the point eat more regularly and cleanly!!!!! So we have started slowly this week as his goal is to bulk up for Rugby Union - he wants to make the 'Colts 1 Team' which he can do if he bulks a bit according to his coach. This has given me something to concentrate on other than myself.

Must work now!

Ciao!
