3 posts in one day!
Wahoo, got my blogging mojo back..............3 posts in 1 day.
Thanks Lia, Tara, Rae, Selina and Hiliary, it is great to be back in the land of Oz. We have an amazing country! On a blogging note, I do not know what I have to do to turn on my 'profile' to advise you blog roll people that there have been changes.............anyone got any hints???
On a fitness level, I put on a few kilos over in Europe, with all that bread, pasta, pizza and not a lot of wholesome veges. I have been sick and working hard for the last 2 weeks, but the mojo is happening, getting back into some serious training again. I have made some changes to my training regime after consulting with 'the expert' on my Gene Elite test. Okay, here goes with what I interpreted while sitting down with the great Lindy Olsen. My body has a good ability to metabolise, which in theory should also help me with my fat loss............but.............I suffer from poor circulatory issues. My vascular system does not open up enough to release the toxins from my blood stream, which in turn holds onto the shit that goes in my body. This also explains why I suffer DOMs a lot, as my lactic acid does not disperse fast enough and just pools. Got that I think. My body does well training in poor conditions, ie I can train really well when the oxygen is low. That means my lungs pushes oxygen around my body very efficiently and my recovery rate is quick. Further to the poor circulatory systems, i do suffer from stress but not the stress of every day happenings, ie work, home etc etc. The stress is from high intensity and high impact exercise and it is advise that I take my cardio either at very fast and very short intervals or nice and long and slow. So in a nut shell, it comes back to doing too much can do harm???
So this week I have done a really heavy weight workout on back and bi's. My biceps are so sore, that I am having trouble reaching the steering wheel. My diet has been great this week too. I have also organised my supps, increasing them ton include - Musashi Red, Musashi Yellow, L Tyrosine, Acetyl L Carnitine, Tresos B, Folate, Lipoiac Acid, Vitals Greens and Muscle Ease (cal, mag and zinc) and last but not least CLA Complex.
Musashi Red, L Carnitine and L Tyrosine for liver cleansing in the morning. Vital Greens because it is just so good for you, Tresos B - a better quality Vitamin B complex, Folate & Lipoiac Acid to help with circulatory, Musashi Yellow for during and after weight training (branch Amino Acids) and muscle ease (cal, mag and zinc) to help recover muscles and sleep.
So that is in a nutshell.
Tomorrow morning I have another huge heavy weight session, chest and tris.
time to go, I have to go bake a birthday cake.

Pompeii!
More holiday! Pompeii was just amazing. We had the funniest tour guide. He was seventy in the shade and he was so considerate. We did not do the normal tour group thingy, he said he would show us what he thought was important and impressive. He would tells us to stand back in the shade all the time and let the tourists go past, as we were not tourists but enjoying the wonders of history.......he had this quirky umbrella which broke half way through the tour and I took a picture just to show what it looks like at the end (below).
It was amazing to see the technology they had even back then. The bakeries were definate, even street signs. There was a street sign for the 'pub' (at the top) and street signs for the local whore house too (down the bottom - the penis!). some of the houses even had penis signs out the front to promote fertility!!!(below) The local whore house had pictures painted on the ceiling which the tour guide told us it was like a menu board (just below) - you choose what style you would like at the time! LOL!
I took a picture of the people found - these were discovered as they were unearthing, they would come accross pockets of air, then realised there were bones lying in the bottom of these pockets and knew it was either human or animal. They would fill these pockets with plaster of paris to find out. The most gruesome I felt was the dog (below) it looked like it suffered the most pain out of those bodies they had on display. Our tour guide was telling us that they are still finding new things today, and are now rebuilding alot of the temples they keep finding. I can not remember how big this site is, but i remember the comparision to Brisbane, and it was bigger!!!! Some of the new town below it has been built on some of the ruins. Call me a geek, but I just love all this history!!!
The focus factor
'Take a moment now to ask yourself: what do I want in relation to my body? If you're like most people, you answered something like 'to lose weight' or ' to get rid of my love handles' or to not be so fat!'. One of the most basic psychological rules in life is, You always get more of what you focus on. Yet in each on of the examples above, your mind has to focus on what you don't want in order to make sense of it - the weight you want to lose, the love handles that you secretly hate, or the fat you want to leave behind. This not only reinforces the image people have of themselves as fat, it tends to leave them feeling helpless, hopeless and unmotivated. When you redirect your focus exclusively on to what you want - a slim, fit, healthy boy - you are sending a message to your unconscious mind to find and explore every possible opportunity to move towards your goal. By clarifying and vividly imagining exactly what it is you want for yourself, you are beginning the process of training your mind and body to give it to you.
Now, the more specific you are, the better this works. If you just say, i'd like to be thinner, your mind might interpret that as meaning you want to lose one kilogram. So describe exactly what it is you want..........................' Paul McKenna (I can make you thin).

More Holiday tales
Rome was amazing, not my favourite but very colourful. We walked, walked, walked and walked forever. We did the jump off jump on bus. This is definately a recommendation to anyone who goes to Rome or Florence. They are the best way to get your bearings, to all the sites and then work out where and what you want to see close up.
The colesseum was just amazing and so big close up. I have attach a few photos of it. It was just amazing to see how the Forum led up to the mighty building and to see something that big still standing. The labyrinth of rooms and caves underneath just blows you away when you are up close and real life. I have seen many photos of it as I did an assignment on it when doing ancient history back in school but seeing in real life, you just can't explain. In fact everything that we saw in real life is so much better than the pictures and movies.
The city is just full of scooters, everyone is on one, especially the young ones. They look just so carefree, sort of reminds me of the old movies like "Roman Holiday" and a few others of the like.
On the food and fitness front, have been good with food, trying to lose the pasta, pizza and bread that I put on....................but getting back into the gym is a little hard especially with so much on at work. Plan is to get back into it slowly so that I don't burn out, as I caught a cold just before we got back and then again last Saturday night for sitting out in the cold. Should know better and rug up, so I am fighting a head cold at the moment. Nose won't stop running!!!! ARGH!
Until next post, Ciao!

Okay I am back and over Jet Lag!
I didn't beleive people when they said that you suffer jet lag on the return trip and it usually lasts a week. Talk about a thick head and just plain whacko body clock issues. I was getting up 2 & 3 in the morning and doind housework because I couldn't sleep, then go to work and falling alseep driving home!!!!. I think I am back to normal.
As a result of such weird feelings and sensations and a little cough I picked up in Scotland I haven't been to the gym all week! Me Bad! No matter a new week just started for me so here we go,on that journey to the BEHAG!
I have been eating salads and salads all week..........man it was so hard getting a proper salad over there without costing you an arm and a leg. We Ozi's really have it so good as far as our food choices and cost of food. Our meat and veges are very cheap, but in understanding this, most of Europe is under snow many months of the year, where Australia is sunshine and sunshine!!!!! LONG LIVE SUNSHINE.
I will give you a break down of my trip if your interested. I just loved Italy........but then I have always loved the Europa feeling. I will start with Rome. We arrived midday, caught the train from airport to middle of Rome, hotel was just 3 streets away, smack in the very heart of Rome. I must say I was very impressed all the way except for one hotel, with the choices my travel agent made for us. i was a bit sceptical at first as they were 3-star and someone said 3-star in Europe was very very bad. But no, the locations and the rooms itself were all very good.
After checking in we jumped on the hop on hop off bus (no roof - double decker) and just travelled the circuit to get our bearings. this took up a good 2 & 1/2 hours and so many sites covered. We had 2 days on this bus and it was the best $40 bucks I have ever spent. Truly recommend it to anyone. So easy to get to the main areas. Had dinner in a small restaurant just around the corner from hotel...........David's first true italian pizza.....typical man........was disappointed with the toppings!!!! or lack thereof!! But it was so delicious, I had to practically tie my hands together not to eat it. I had pasta and man that was so nice too. Then sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Next day was an entire day of walking, walking, walking, walking, walking oh yeah and sightseeing!!! The missed photo of the the day was a gypsy woman going to the toilet on the sidewalk in the middle of the day! Eeewww! Not nice. Best photo opportunity of the day was an italian man cooling himself by lifting his shirt up and down........whoa, hubba hubba, check the abs. He was not that good looking but had abs from the gods!
Until another day, Ciao!
