Been a slow week! Bring on next week!

I have neglected my goal for the last 2 weeks, time to pull up my panties and start getting the job done.

Have to finalise this week, and already have set plan of attack starting Saturday!

A Hero - My Mother-In-Law

God saw you getting tired, another day for you was not to be
so he put his arms around you and whispered "come with me"
With tearful eyes we watched you pass away
and although, we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us, that he only takes the best.

Todays Inspiration

Good Weekend so far!

Great start to weekend so far! Slept in a little saturday morning, had morning concoction (Vital Greens, Muscle Eaze(magnesium, calcium, zinc), Musashi Red, L-Tyrosine, Acetyl L Carnitine - mix in water), had my oats and went to a huge powerwalk with puppies and friend. That felt so good. Then did a bit of shopping, collected a few more supplements I have run out of, home to clean and clean. Basically on my feet all day, my foot got a little swollen. Oh yeah history to foot, a couple of weeks ago I went to gym and after a weight session jumped on a xtrainer to do some cardio and I broke it. My foot got caught in plastic shroud and that broke. I think I must of broken a small bone in foot as I had a hard time walking for a week and couldn't put certain shoes on. My foot has been great since, if I put my flat colarado's on. So yesterday was my first real intense cardio since coming back from hols.

One small confession though, last night I drank a bottle of red - so easy to drink I didn't realise I had drunk it all. Only 3 glasses (should say 3 buckets). Didn't plan it but I enjoyed it. I didn't feel drunk after it but I am sure I was - and my hubby said he would drive home - wahoo that is so rare. I don't drink often but once every blue moon it feels good to do it. Pepperjack - cab sav - noice drop!!!! Good company, good conversation, good laughs and photo comparisons with the group of friends who all met over in Scotland for the wedding of friend. I made a amazing dish last night - sometimes I wish I had a little al fresco dining business - one day - Fresh salmon and white wine risotto. I tweaked a basic recipe to what I think what would taste better. and it actually paid off. It is a true compliment when people ask if they can take a doggy bag home for themselves. So today is dedicated to do another long powerwalk or actually I am going to go for a bike ride into Waterford and back, clean house some more, do a little gardening and sort my wardrobe out. So I figure if I keep moving again today, it will burn of the excess calories from yesterday.

Hey Tara, Grant from the Nutrition warehouse is a nice guy. Stopped in yesterday to pick up some supps I need and to check out the comparison against the Supplement Den. He seems very eager to please and is going to get in Vital Greens to sell as he takes it as well.

Well best get into it, the day has already begun.

How to kick my 'MOJO' into gear!

I have been struggling since coming back from holidays to get my mojo back! So been doing some searching for motivation, reading and trying to energize myself to get back into it!!!! Every morning I wake with the alarm, then turn it off and got back to sleep, every evening I get home from work and feels so blah.......say to myself 'there is always tomorrow!' Blah Blah blah! So sick of being this way! Blah Blah Blah ........excuses, excuses, excuses!!!!
Upon reading I found this article and seven steps to follow by Robert A Rausch (it was actually a management leadership article but it can and will be applied to everyday wants and needs - like my mojo!)
  1. Always maintain your desire for what you do. Desire creates core energy. If you think you may have lost it, think back to a time when you felt strong desire for what you were doing. When you do remember, write your thoughts down and make it a habit to review what you've written several times a day. At the heart of all energy is DESIRE!
  2. Believe in something bigger than you. Ben Franklin said, "A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small bundle." Being sefl-absorbed wastes a lot of energy. Find something bigger to believe in than yourself, like your goal!
  3. Find a reflector. A reflector is a colleague, buddy or a coach. It has to be someone not involved in your daily life whom you can talk with honestly and candidly. I also suggest not picking someone loaded with unsolicited advice, but someone who will listen, support and encourage.
  4. Guard your mind. As best you can, surround yourself with people who are realistic, but who also have the attitude that you are going to make this work.
  5. Don't neglect your emotions. Emotions are part of human nature. The harder you try to hide a feeling, the more that feeling will dominate your life. Fear, anger, frustration, love and sadness are natural emotions. Don't play the strong woman and try and ignore these feelings. Feel the emotions; express them appropriately, with the appropriate people at the appropriate time. Believe it or not, it's refueling to express emotions.
  6. Normalise the struggle. I think sometimes we are under the false assumption that we're not supposed to struggle. Struggle is part of the game; without it there is little to no growth. It's when we meet the resistance that we get stronger. Energy is lost when there is too much complaining about the present situation and too little appreciation for the opportunity to grow.
  7. Change the direction when necessary. Some difficult times cause us to re-evaluate where we are and where we need to go. Look for the inconspicuous messages. maybe you are being directed in a different way or to approach the situation in a different way. If you waste energy on worry and fear, you may miss the very thing that will create success.

Finally, don't take yourself too seriously. Given time, all things change. Theses are days that require strong desire and the courage to maintain it.

Need some inspiration!

Changing the habits of a lifetime. (Paul Mckenna)

"I know there have been many times in the past when you've done your best to eat sensibly, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't stick with it. And you probably thought that in some way it was your fault - if only you had more will-power, you wouldn't be overweight. Based on the latest scientifit data, I can address that issue once and for all: Rubbish!
The truth is that it's nearly impossible to break a habit with will-power alone - you have to re-programme your mind. With the right programmes in place, doing the right thing is easy; with the wrong programmes running your mind, it's virtually impossible

........After all, if lasting changes can happen this quickly and this easily, why haven't you been able to do it in the past?????

It all boils down to a simply psychological rule: Your imagination is far more powerful than your will. In fact, it's through the power of your imagination that you actually make all your best decisions about what you are going to eat. When you read the menu in a restaurant, you mentally taste all the food in your mind before you decide what to have. That's why restaurants go to such trouble to describe their food in appetizing terms."

You have to BELEIVE in it. You have to AIM high!
